About Sensei |
|
Anne Kadar Duzan (Sensei Anne Kadar) started training in martial arts in February 1986. She currently holds the rank of Godan, 5th degree black belt. In addition to instructing students over the last 15 years, Ms. Kadar has taught several women’s self defense courses and attended seminars on knife defense and other subjects. Ms. Kadar has a B.A. degree in botany from Rutgers University. Her other interests include family time, singing with her husband in community chorus, weightlifting, and especially cooking. Ms. Kadar's brother and father are both 5th dans. Ms. Kadar’s Sensei is Mr. Doug King, 7h dan, Andover NJ, student of Mr. Bill Shank, 8th dan, Carlisle PA. Mr. Shank was the student of Mr. Harry Acklin, 7th dan, OH (deceased). Mr. Shank has accepted promotions to 7th and 8th dan from Mr. Georg Iberl and Mr. Angi Uezu.
